News Around Town: Earth Day is later this week (Thursday, the 22nd) but Mecklenburg County is celebrating all month long. Print the Restore Our Earth Passport and further connect with nature through planned activities you can do around the county. Some of the fun includes strolling on a Greenway, participating in a clean up, and watching wildlife at a nature preserve. Complete five activities then stop by a prize giveaway site for a prize! The closest one is just across the town border in Mint Hill at Stevens Creek Nature Center (15700 Thompson Rd., Mint Hill).
