News About Town: The McKee Road Extension between Pleasant Plains and John Street has been paused while NCDOT addresses budget shortfalls. Meanwhile, the Town is pursuing Bonus Allocation (BA) dollars for underfunded projects. This past Monday night, the Board approved seeking BA dollars for the McKee Road Extension project. The Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) expects to have over $26 million in BA funds to award to projects in the Charlotte region this January.
