HAWK Meeting: Barred Owls

Barred Owls are seemingly everywhere in mature forests in Mecklenburg County.   Biologist, David Crowe,  will speak about the adaptability of these majestic creatures and will address installing nesting cavities, including nest box construction and placement, in the hopes that you can attract one to your habitat.

David started his career as a field biologist working for us fish and wildlife service for several summers at Arctic national wildlife refuge doing field bird studies.

David's research re: many reptiles and amphibian species has been published while at Florida game and freshwater fish commission. David also worked in Wyoming again for US fish and wildlife service on an extensive owl project. Today David works in and around Mecklenburg County helping people with residential and commercial wildlife solutions with his business critter control
